both reports on display

While on a short holiday, I stumbled upon a lonely piece of lace between royal carriages and sledges in the Marstalmuseum Nymphenburg, München. I’m not sure I correctly translated the German “Schleppendrapage” into English.

The display said: “Florentiner Spitze”. The close up shows both needle lace and bobbin lace mounted on net. Intended for the marriage of Sophie Charlotte engaged in 1867 with Ludwig, but the couple never married.

Identifying lace is not my specialism, so others might be able to tell more about it. You can zoom in on the close up. It is a section of one of the three photographs I took, all with the same resolution.
