Welcome to my bobbin lace atelier. Kantelier is a Dutch contraction of “lace” and “atelier”. Atelier does not mean I will take you by the hand to learn making bobbin lace step by step. Others do a better job, see the bobbin lace wiki. I rather concentrate on “showing off” and share some of my adventures while making lace.

How I started making bobbin lace? In my teens I saw a bobbin lace maker on a fair and got hooked. Books were my main teachers.

The header image of this blog is explained in the dragonfly post.

This blog is in two languages. Of course it is in my mothers tongue. It is also in  English as that is understood by much more people and I can do a better job than automated translators. Also automated translators will usually do a better job when translating from English than when they have to deal with Dutch. Use the tabs to get the latest post in your preferred language.
